Friends of the Oder: Civil Society Engagement

This map shows local, regional, and transnational civil society actors who are committed to protecting and preserving the ecology, ecological value for us humans, and the beauty and uniqueness of the Oder. These are people from the general public, residents living along the Oder, people interested in the Oder, and protectors of the environment and nature along the Oder. They organize themselves into initiatives, local action groups, associations, and alliances, promote projects in the field of education or environmental education as well as concrete nature and environmental protection, or are committed to regional development that is agricultural and sustainable. What they have in common is that, in our view, they are “friends of the Oder”! They contribute to networking between the three Oder regions within civil society and take action to promote the natural and people-friendly development of the Oder and its valley.
