SAVE ODER DIE

SAVE ODER DIE is committed to saving the Oder: to stopping the construction on the Oder and against environmental pollution caused by salt or other discharges. To this end, it intervenes constructively in the water politics of the state of Brandenburg.

The Citizens’ Initiative was founded in 2022 because of the Oder catastrophe, the great fish and mussel kill. It is made up of active members of civil society on the Oder and in the Oder catchment area in Germany who are protesting against the destruction of the Oder due to pollution or construction works for deepening. SAVE ODER DIE networks with the administration and other Oder stakeholders. The initiative advocates the active participation of the population in environmental and nature conservation, provides information (e.g. at events or in its own newsletter, registration possible at ) and creates transparency.
